TETWORD is a falling-block word puzzle played on an arena you can rotate. Blocks carry glyphs instead of shapes, and you clear them by spelling words from any angle. Across 42 levels, a student of Plato travels from Greece to Egypt, the Indus Valley, Japan, Arabia and the Maya.

Long description

TETWORD takes the falling-block puzzle apart and rebuilds it around language. Each block carries a glyph rather than a shape, and the arena itself rotates — so a stack that reads as nonsense from the front may spell a word seen from the side.

The game runs across six ancient civilizations, each with its own writing system: 24 Greek glyphs, 20 Egyptian, 22 Indus Valley, 28 Arabic, 16 Maya. The alphabet changes as you travel, and so does the vocabulary. Wrapped around it is a journey — a student of Plato, sent to answer a question his teacher would not: where do we come from? Forty-two levels carry you from Athens eastward and back across Africa, ending at the Richat Structure in a green Sahara.
